Wow what a site! This had to be the best site we have been to yet, unfortunately it is also the most expensive so our stay was not for too long. There was a swimming pool complex with water slides, an excellent restaurant (non-smoking at last) and the toilet blocks - which are VERY important to us campers - were as good as a hotel would provide.

We spent most of the time by the pools as the children absolutely loved them. It felt strange, but this was just like having a holiday in the middle of our trip. There was no pressure to go out sight-seeing (although we did) and we could really relax.

We went to Elche, a town with the largest number of palm trees estimated at 200,000 and took a train ride through the park. In Alicante we drove to the castle on top of the hill and saw some fantastic views of the town.
