Photos - Portugal - Albuferia
As
we approached the Algarve we were shocked by the amount of graffiti
which was not apparent in Northern Portugal, however this worry was
short lived and was not a reflection on the area. We stayed outside
a popular
town
called
Albuferia
at possibly
the best campsite in Portugal.
The
Algarve in the winter is wonderful, when the sun shines it is lovely
and warm. The evenings can be a little chilly but nowhere near the
freezing cold conditions of central Spain or England. We
now felt we had arrived and decided to settle until Easter.
Then
they came in their hundreds, a Camping and Caravan Club rally. There
were pensioners everywhere, playing boules, bingo, line dancing, hanging
out washing and generally complaining about anything and everything.
However once they had left, we
were back to our peaceful existence.
